Buyers Guide To Triple Strollers
Buying a triple stroller is a large investment and one which has lots of things to consider. You need to think about design, function and your individual needs, as well as price.
First you need to decide how much you will use your stroller and what for? There are 2 basic designs. One has the seats in a row, one behind the other and the other design has the seats in a row next to each other. Each of these have their own advantages and disadvantages. The first one is good as it allows you to get through doorways much easier and allows for easier negotiation inside stors. However you can't see your children so easily. This type is often more difficult to get up the curbs because of the length of it
The second design allows all the children a better view of their surroundings and you can reach them all equally easily. However, this desigh is obvioulsy a lot wider and so takes up a lot more room across the sidewalk and in the stores.
Your needs will vary depending whether you have triplets or a mixture of ages. If you have triplets, you will want seats that all recline fully. whereas if you have twins and a toddler, you will probably want a triple stroller where there is an option to individually recline seats, so that your toddler can sit up while your babies sleep.
There is also another design where there are 2 reclining seats one behind the other and a platform behind the rear seat where your toddler can stand. This is a great design if you have a toddler who wants their own independence, but who can have a ride if they are tired.
You will also need to consider the amount and tyoe of storage you require on your stroller. some strollers have underseat storage, whereas other have storage on the sides or backs of the seats. You need to have storage which allows easy access to items without causing the risk of tipping over your stroller.
Canopies are essential items especially for summer use and it is nice to have the option of being able to open and close canopies individually, rather than having them all open or all closed.
If you are going to be using your triple stroller for trips to the countryside, you will need to ensure that it has wheels which are robust and will cope well with uneven and rugged surfaces.
If you are going to be driving to places with your stroller you need to consider how easy it is to collpase the stroller, and how heavy it is to get into the trunk - and whether you can do this on your own, if you are going to be taking the children out by yourself.
